Join Seattle Public Schools and the Safe Schools

the Seattle LGBTQ Pride Parade

What?
As always, the annual Gay Pride Parade
is happening the last Sunday in June. You can join the fun by
marching with Seattle Public Schools students, staff and families
alongside the Safe Schools Coalition. We will have as our “float,” a
big ol’ yellow school bus. Come ride or march with us!

Who?

All GSA members, their friends and
family and Seattle Schools Staff. We will be joined by School Board
members as well as senior leadership staff! All are welcome!

When? Sunday,
June 30th. The actual parade starts at 11am, but come early.
You can come find
us in line on 4th Avenue before the 11:00 start time, or you can
simply join from the parade route as the bus comes rolling by!

Where? Look for us in the parade staging area
space C2k on 4th Avenue between Seneca and Spring. We’ll be between
Lambert House and Snohomish County Contingency/GLOBE.
Come find the big school bus!

Who? All GSA members, their friends and family
and Seattle Schools Staff. We will be joined by School Board members
as well as senior leadership staff! All are welcome!

What Else? You can ride on the bus or you can march
alongside the bus. You can carry signs, tape signs to the bus, and
even enjoy snacks on the bus! We will have some fun items you can
hand out to the crowd too! Also, the parade ends at the Seattle
Center where a rally will be going on most of the day. You’ll find
music, food, information booths, etc. there. Plan to come for the
day!

If you have never been to this parade, you
will be amazed at the enthusiastic reception our group receives. It
is very heart-warming. Hope you can join in the fun.
