Heather Carter Heather Carter, M.A. - OUTLoud Project Manager - began working at Youth Suicide Prevention Project (YSPP) in 2007 to coordinate a new initiative targeted to expanding suicide prevention services to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. Heather coordinates with the LGBTQ community and youth serving organizations to create an infrastructure of suicide prevention for these youth. She is also helping organizations that work with youth increase their knowledge and skills in the area of suicide prevention in general and as it pertains to LGBTQ youth. To support this work she has developed curriculum focused on LGBTQ youth and their risks for suicide, self harm, and depression and curriculum focusing on bullying and bias-based harassment and the links these experiences have to long term, negative mental health outcomes. Prior to starting OUTLoud at YSPP, Heather worked as a crisis intervention counselor and crisis skills & social justice trainer. She completed a Master's degree from the School for International Training in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management in 2007. |

Gabi Clayton Gabi Clayton is the Safe Schools Coalition webspinner and a trainer/speaker. Her younger son Bill came out to the family as bisexual when he was 14 years old. Three years later in 1995 he was assaulted in a hate crime based on his sexual orientation and he committed suicide a month later. Gabi learned web design so she could publish his story on the internet. She is on the board of PFLAG-Olympia, on the board and current chair of Youth Guardian Services which runs email support lists for GLBT and straight ally youth, and she is a co-founder of Families United Against Hate (FUAH). Gabi is a licenced mental health counselor in private practice working with clients on post-trauma (hate crime and other situation-related) stress and depression, grief and loss, activist stress, burnout and compassion fatugue and more. She and her husband run ClaytonWorks doing web design, graphic design and editing and ClaytonWorks Publishing, a small book publishing company. |

Tracy Flynn Ms Flynn has over 20 years experience as a trainer, educator and facilitator including adjunct faculty at several universities. Previously she worked as a Health Curriculum Specialist with the Seattle Public Schools, was the Training Director with the National CASA Association, a national non-profit providing grants, technical assistance and training in the foster care system and Director of Training at Planned Parenthood of Western Washington. She has trained and taught in a wide variety of settings. Her expertise includes; cultural competency, anti-harassment, HIV, mandatory reporting, child development and reproductive/sexual health, leadership, strategic planning, teaching and facilitation skills. |

Kari Kesler Kari Kesler, MA, is a Sexuality Health Educator for Public Health of Seattle & King County. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Portland State University and Texas Woman's University, teaching courses about sexuality and gender issues. Ms. Kesler trains professionals, community members and youth about a variety of topics including sexuality education, LGBTQ issues, and sexual violence. |

Rosalinda Noriega Rosalinda Noriega has worked as an Advocate for Victims of Crime in various communities around the Puget Sound since 1994. In 1998, Rosalinda was recognized as "A Very Important Woman in Washington" as a part of the 150th anniversary of the Women's Rights Movement and Youth Advocate of the Year (2006). She is the founder Partners in Prevention Education (PiPE) which provides violence prevention education and crisis intervention services to at-risk and homeless youth and young adults in Thurston County, Washington. |

Beth Reis Beth Reis, MS, is a Health Educator with Public Health - Seattle & King County. She is a former classroom teacher and has served as adjunct faculty at CWU and SPU in the past, teaching courses for teachers and school nurses to enhance their skills in comprehensive sexuality education. Beth is an author and researcher and has spent thousands of hours as a guest speaker with people in grades 5-12, teaching about sexual health. |

Lori Stern Lori Stern, M.A.Ed. has worked in field of education for the past 22 years. Her current focus is on school health and professional development for school employees. Lori has also authored numerous articles and curricula on subjects related to teen pregnancy, health behaviors, school health policy and the impact on student health and achievement, and family support. |

Norma Timbang Norma provides training and program consulting for grassroots social change and human service organizations. She has developed and implemented curricula on anti-oppression, internalized oppression, cultural competence, and collaborative program development and evaluation. She has facilitated LGBTQ youth support groups, dating violence support groups, and group healing from internalized oppression. |
