This November 20, 2011 NPR Weekend Edition Sunday audio interview and article by Margot Adler is about the studies and stories of homeless youth in New York City and other big cities where, depending on the study, somewhere between 30 and 40 percent of
homeless youths identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. It is also about organizations that serve homeless LGBTQ youth: New York City based Safe Horizon's Streetwork Project and The Ali Forney Center.
