(1) Rainbow Families of Puget Sound Anti-Bullying Workshop (3/26 2011; Seattle, WA)

Rainbow Families of Puget Sound in presenting two sessions aimed at addressing bullying on March 26 at the Center for Spiritual Living in Seattle, WA.

Session leader Paul Gigueroa will lead both sessions: part one for adults and kids from 10:00am-12:00pm and part two for adults only from 12:30-2:30pm.

The Center for Spiritual Living is located at 2801 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA. Check out the flyer for the event.

Cost is $25 per person or $50 for a family (childcare provided). RSVP to rsvp@rfops.org

(2 ) Idaho Safe School Coalition Annual Meeting ( 4/12 2011; Garden City, ID)

To all Idaho Safe Schools Coalition members,

Next month is our ANNUAL MEETING where we elect or re-elect select positions on the Executive Committee, give year highlights, and a chance to mingle.  Please mark your calendar for the biggest meeting of the year - Tuesday, April 12th at 6 pm. Meetings are held at The Community Center (click here for a map).  It's also a great chance to hear about upcoming events, volunteer, and renew your membership!!

Our steering committee meetings are always open to everyone, but if you don't usually attend we hope you can make this important meeting.

Light snacks will be provided.

(3 ) Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals Exhibit (March 30-April 3, Seattle, WA)

March 30 - April 3, 2011

McCaw Hall, Seattle Center

321 Mercer St., Seattle

 

Through reproductions of some 250 historic photographs and documents, Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals 1933-1945

examines the rationale, means, and impact of the Nazi regime's attempt to eradicate homosexuality.  The exhibit will highlight the lives of men whose life experiences serve to teach us about the dangers of intolerance.

 

Presented by the Holocaust Center, the exhibit coincides with the Seattle Men's Chorus production of Falling in Love Again.  Exhibit on loan from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  On display in the lobby of McCaw Hall, Seattle Center.  Free and open to the public.

Lead by Dee Simon, Co-Executive Director, Holocaust Center. In the Allen Room, McCaw Hall. Exploring the ideology, laws and propaganda that led to a campaign of persecution against homosexuals, the Holocaust Center will draw parallels to events in our world today.

Session II: For a Look or a Touch, a Discussion

McCaw Hall, Norcliffe Room.
