Safe Space Kit - from GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian Straight Education Network. Designed to help educators create a safe space for LGBT youth in schools, the Safe Space Kit features the Guide to Being an Ally to LGBT Students. This guide complete with posters, stickers and reproducible handouts provides concrete strategies for supporting LGBT students, educating about anti-LGBT bias and advocating for changes in your school. http://www.glsen.org/cgi-bin/iowa/educator/library/record/1641.html

Safe Spaces Training Module: a free self-guided training module by National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC) which is designed to help organizations create safer spaces for LGBTQ youth. The module is in six parts which run approximately 15 minutes each, and contains a self-assessment for each participating organization. Upon completion of all six modules agencies can receive free Safe Zone materials for their offices and youth spaces. Participants only need to download a worksheet and follow along with the video series at their own pace. NYAC is available to answer specific questions and can provide more individualized technical assistance around creating spaces for LGBTQ youth - direct all questions or concerns regarding the Safe Spaces Training Module to Jennie Beeson at 800.541.6922 ext 12 or via email at  jennie@nyacyouth.org. The Reference Packet: downloadable items which are given to everyone at Eastern Illinois University who signs up to become a Safe Zone. "This packet includes many helpful items of information that we hope will provide initial help to any member of Safe Zone. This brief packet is meant as an aid to answering simple questions and is not to be interrupted as a complete guide to helping anyone who may approach you as a Safe Zone.  Remember the program does not make you a counselor, only a supportive person."
