(5) Join the Safe Schools Coalition in the Seattle Pride Parade (June 26; Seattle, WA)
Well, it is that fabulous time of year again!!!! The annual Pride Parade is coming up and we will all be in it! Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 26th.
As usual, Safe Schools
Coalition will be partnering with Seattle Public Schools to have the
coolest float in the parade. Our big ol cheese bus will rock its way
down the parade route again this year with
help from you!
Plan to come for the day, bring the family, bring your neighbors, bring your friends... The parade starts at 11am and goes from about 4th
and Union all the way up to
the Seattle Center where it ends in a huge celebration there. You can
march alongside the bus or ride the bus. Help pass out goodies, carry a
banner, or just wave at the cheering crowd. There will be snacks and
water/juice on the bus.
There will be Safe
Schools Coalition banner on the front of the bus and member
organizations and GSAs (even those that don't belong to the Coalition)
are welcome to bring signs or art for the sides of the
bus.
We welcome all
students, staff and families from member organizations to join in this
fun experience and show our larger community that we are everywhereŠin
our schools, in the classrooms, in the lives and
homes of our children.
ALL are welcome to join in the fun. Feel free to post the flyers (or make your own)invite
friends, family and co-workers too. It will be a rockin good time. (If
you
havent seen how far we literally rock the bus, you would be amazedŠI
