ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Maintain a caseload of 15-20 youth. Meet w/each participant once or twice per week.

·  Assess participants in need of services, develop and document service plans on participants that include linkages with community resources, family, other YouthCare components or external providers as clinically appropriate.  Work with client and internal and external staff to ensure follow-through.

·  Provide a minimum of 20 hours weekly direct contact with participants, including face-to-face counseling, advocacy and transportation and assisting youth in meeting their basic needs of food, housing and safety.

·  Link youth to opportunities that allow them to gain skills to become successful adults.

·  Act as a mentor and advocate for youth participants.

·  Engage youth through Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based and harm reduction approaches.

·  Complete and submit all documentation and grant reporting in a timely manner.

·  Participate in weekly or bi-monthly supervision meetings and in monthly clinical consultation.

·  Attend a minimum of six in-service trainings annually.

·  Attend monthly grant funder sponsored meetings as required for position.

·  Spend approximately 10 to 15-hours weekly working collaboratively with the Community Outreach Team participating in outreach activities and working in drop-in areas, providing a link between case management and other Orion services.

·  Drop-in service responsibilities include maintaining safety and managing behaviors in the drop-in areas; facilitating activities; preparing and serving meals; kitchen clean up and overall area maintenance.

(2) Program Manager, YouthCare: The Bridge (Seattle WA) – Open Until Filled

Status:                   Full Time

Salary Range:       $37,000-$44,000

Classification:       Exempt

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Responsible for the hiring, supervision and training of all program staff.

·  Manage staff schedule to ensure that residents are provided the necessary support and supervision, as required by Washington licensing guidelines and standards of program contracts.

·  Oversee youth assessments, interviews and intakes.

·  Ensure that a service plan is developed for each resident and that assigned staff are properly managing service plans.

·  Oversee case management and advocacy for youth including developing linkages with the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS), Juvenile Probation Department (JPD) and other agencies serving youth.

·  Responsible for the development and managing of program budget.  Ensure that program operates within budgetary guidelines.

·  Ensure that client files are accurate and current.

·  Ensure that required program reports are completed in an accurate, thorough and timely manner.

·  Ensure that census levels meet budgetary goals.

·  Ensure that all program elements meet Washington Administrative Codes (WAC), licensing guidelines and standards of program contracts.

·  Ensure that client medications are being administered, documented and reconciled in accordance with YouthCare policies and the Washington Administrative Codes (WAC).

·  Oversee therapeutic plans for the program including the implementation of both educational and therapeutic groups.  Provide thorough case documentation including follow-up services and outcome data.

·  Participate in inter-agency, systems and community meetings, as assigned.

·  Carry a cell phone and be available to program staff for consultation and/or emergencies.

·  Oversee development and implementation of Life Skills groups aimed at independent living.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

·  Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field plus one to two years experience with street youth and/or commercially sexually exploited youth.

·  One to two years experience with runaway / homeless youth, preferably in a residential setting.

·  Prior experience managing staff, preferably in a residential setting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:           

·  Bachelors Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field plus two to three years experience with runaway/homeless youth and/or commercially sexually exploited youth.

·  Acceptance of a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural and spiritual practices.

·  Experience in working in a residential setting, preferably in a management or supervisory capacity.

·  Proficient in computer use, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·  Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients while building trust and respect.

·  Possess a clean driving record and reliable transportation and able to transport clients in agency vehicles.

·  Ability to verbally and physically respond to an aggressive person in ways that de-escalate, establish and maintain staff and youth safety.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Responsible for the nightly supervision of the Young Adult Shelter Program.

·  Ensure program rules are being enforced and the nightly operation of the program is within regulatory guidelines and agency treatment philosophy.

·  Oversee and delegate tasks to shelter volunteers.

·  Maintain clear communication with other shelter staff, including attending monthly meetings.

·  Complete needed program paperwork including accurate case records, staff log and guest intake and nightly paperwork.

·  Complete incident reports on any facility damage, medical emergencies or any incident with occurs out of the ordinary nightly functioning of the shelter.

·  Work collaboratively with other shelter staff and volunteers to ensure the program is providing the best services for each guest.

·  Identify obstacles and support strategies for shelter guests.

·  Provide conflict de-escalation and mediation, as needed, to shelter guests.

·  Ensure facility maintenance and cleanliness meets health and safety codes.

·  Assist Shelter Manager in the monitoring of shelter supplies and needs.

·  Bachelor’s degree in human services. Relevant work experienced can be substituted.

·  Experience in a supervisory position, preferably in a shelter program.

·  Experience with at-risk youth populations.

POSITION: Program Manager

HOURS: Full-time

PAY RANGE: $41,400– 47,800 Annual (DOQ)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a B.A./B.S. in Social Work or related field, M.A. preferred. Min. of three years exp. with program development, management, and staff supervision. Three years working with at-risk youth, street youth or residential group care may be substituted. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and detail oriented. Current WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor, valid WA drivers license + proof of valid insurance required. Demonstrated ability to intervene in crisis situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SKYS Program Manager is responsible to oversee and coordinate daily operations of the South King County Youth Shelter (SKYS) which houses up to 9 youth with multiple funding contracts. The PM maintains training, staffing and compliance with licensing as well as ensuring the program is safe and operating efficiently and effectively for the residents. Other responsibilities in conjunction with the Residential Director: budget development, program development, contract compliance, grant writing, preparing reports to funding sources, training and supervising up to 10 staff.

Responsibilities: Supervise and provide guidance in a residential setting. Provide a safe and structured environment and ensure that the residents needs are met. Facilitate groups on effective communication and life skills, as well as provides crisis intervention counseling.

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services field or equivalent.

·  Two years working with at-risk youth, street youth, or youth in a residential setting may substitute for education.

·  MUST be at least 21 years of age!
