(1) ACTION ALERT: HB 1163 Anti-Bullying Bill Signing TOMORROW! - Olympia, WA
The Safe Schools Coalition Law and Policy Work Group is excited to announce that the governor has scheduled a bill signing for tomorrow, Friday 4/29, at 2:30p.m. that will include signing HB 1163, the anti-bullying bill.

People who supported and worked on getting bills passed are welcome to attend bill signings, so it would be great if any of you can come!

The bill signing will be in the Governor's conference room at the capitol in Olympia, which is on the second floor of the Legislative Building (the capitol dome building). As mentioned above, the bill-signing is scheduled to begin at 2:30p.m. However, the governor plans to sign 38 bills one by one tomorrow, and while 1163 is fourth on the list, she often goes out of order so there's no way to tell exactly what time after 2:30 the signing will happen.
Please do come if you can - being present for the signing of a bill that we worked as a coalition to get passed is a great way to celebrate our hard work.
Meanwhile, let's all keep up the pressure to make sure the final budget includes our other legislative priority: full funding for the Youth Suicide Prevention Program!

Thanks to all for your work, and we hope to see many of you tomorrow.
