(2)     Bullying Breaking the Cycle on KIRO 7 Re-Broadcast (3/26, Seattle, WA)

Bullying: Breaking the Cycle re-broadcast on KIRO 7

A growing number of young people are faced with the fear of being bullied every day. Recognizing this, KIRO 7 produced a special that tells their stories and delves into the many aspects of the new wave of this age-old problem. Ranging from seemingly harmless name-calling to physical violence and occurring in the classroom, on the playground and online, bullying takes many forms.

Bullying: Breaking the Cycle, a KIRO 7 Family Connection Special, explores what bullying looks like in 2011. Who bullies, and who gets bullied? Why? What do parents need to know? What are educators doing about it? What can we all do to break the cycle?

WHEN

Saturday - March 26 - 8 p.m. - Channel 7 (second broadcast)

WHO

Bullying: Breaking the Cycle includes children who’ve been bullied and those who have done the bullying, parents who children have committed suicide as a result of fears of bullying, local educators who have instituted programs in their schools, experts on bullying prevention and Dan Savage with the It Gets Better Project.
