(1) Jacob Friedman Holocaust Writing/Art Contest 2011 -- grades 5-12 in the PNW (WA, OR, AK, ID). Deadline: April 29, 2011.

WRITING:
We've all seen bullying. Many of us have been victims of bullying. Some of us have been bullies. Now that you are a student of the Holocaust, how has your knowledge changed the way you think about-and react to-bullying?

ART:
If you were to create a poster for your school to discourage bullying and/or to remind students of the importance of respecting differences, what would it look like? In your artist's statement, please explain how your poster connects to what you have learned about the Holocaust.
